New Mastermind: Pawel Pokutycki, designer/lecturer in the field of interactive media and RFID/AR pioneer

Pawel Pokutycki is working in the field of interactive media, technology and education at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague. He's a founder of the RFID Lab, an interdisciplinary platform for students interested in experiments and projects in ubiquitous computing and the internet of things. He is an active observer of the cultural and sociological changes going on today in the postdigital world of spimes, where bits and atoms form one coherent and inseparable reality. Starting from September 2006 Pawel will work for the larger AR+RFID Lab at the KABK (in collaboration with TU Delft and Fabrique, Delft) - just next door to our I/M/D department - supported and subsidised by the SIA/RAAK grant programme doing research in new possibilties to integrate Augmented Reality technologies and RFID in art and design.

As designer and trainer Pawel worked for various major companies and institutions in The Netherlands including Vodafone, Aegon, European Patent Office and the Dutch Police. He studied Interaction Design at the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU) doing the European Media Master of Arts (EMMA) programme in Interactive Multimedia.
